Italia

Post #4: dedicated to T-Pain - Buy You a Drank

I miss Italy.
Which is weird, since I didn't have the most fantastic of times. But still. Such beautiful sights, such amazing history behind all the ruins. The ridiculously hot, sticky weather and horrible dinners...I miss it all. The Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica...I miss it all. Singing Ave Maria one last time, singing Irish Blessing as we left...what a beautiful vacation. What a beautiful country. I only hope that I should return one day, and experience all that little Italy has to offer myself.
I miss Italy.

Makes Me Proud

Post #3: Dedicated to Kim Yuna.

She is the epitome of grace, beauty, elegance...
A flawless performance, but more extraordinarily, a flawless young woman.
Someone able to bear, equally, both pride and complete pressure of being South Korea's best figure skater.
Someone who, at so young an age, can balance teenage life with rigorous hours of training, practice, living, breathing, and eating figure skating.
It's astonishing. And astonishingly impressive. She's a role model for us all.
Congratulations, Kim Yuna. You deserved this.

And then there's Joannie Rochette.
An equally exceptional human being.
Able to put side emotions, prolong breaking down for the Olympic bronze.
So much strength in one woman. Her mother would be proud.
"A kiss to her father. A performance for her mom."
Beautiful.

Silence is Golden

Post #2: dedicated to All of a Kind Family, by Sydney Taylor

What I wouldn't give for privacy.
Some time alone.
Waking up to silence.
Pure silence.
Sleeping peacefully, without waking up multiple times due to noises a certain someone is making: incessant laughing, incredibly loud typing, and everything else in the world that just bugs.
Yes, I am talking about roommates.
College is supposed to be the time you share with your roommate, your best friend, who becomes your sister.
Evidently, though, not the case for everyone.
Quite the shame, sure.
But I'm done with roommates and I never want one in my 4 years of college, ever again.
Ever. Again.
If silence is golden,
privacy is just...pure heavenly love.

Just Listen

Post #1: dedicated to Just Listen, by Sarah Dessen.

The time has come.
No more holding things in.
No more keeping things to myself.
It's all coming out.

After all, it's rather unhealthy, no? Keep bottling it up, and I'd explode one day.
Or not.
The choice is yours.
